Hyper-V vs. VMWare vs. Xen
Here is one post that might start a flame between my readers. When you try to compare Hyper-V vs. VMWare vs. Xen, you will see that there is no “the best” solution. Every solution has it pros and cons. Which ones? Rick Vanover wrote a great article at Techtarget, trying to compare there three solutions and write down their pros and cons. You can read full article here (note: you have to be registered and logged in to access all content at Techtarget).
What do you think? Is this true? Do you agree with this article? What can you tell us about your experiences with these products and what can you recommend to my readers? Please write it down in comments.

Hyper-V Architecture
Hyper-V, used for server virtualization in Windows Server 2008 R2 , is a microkernelized hypervizor. What it really means, I tried to explain in my post about microkernelized hypervizors, but here a video showing you more details about it. This short video has been recorded by Ben Armstrong, a.k.a. The Virtual PC Guy, Product Manager at Microsoft.
Very small Hyper-V Manager
There is a new, very simple and very easy to use Hyper-V Manager available to download and use for free. This tool has been written by Jerry Orman. It is not fully featured application, and should not (and can’t) be used for complex deployments and usage. It sits in a system tray, and enables you to monitor only one Hyper-V server and its virtual machines. You can only do some basic stuff with them, like Start, Stop, Save State and Pause. If you need to monitor only one Hyper-V server, and if you don’t want to open standard Hyper-V Manager when you need to do some simple tasks with your machine, that Hyper-V Manager written by Jerry Orman could be a tool to try. You can download it at http://blogs.msdn.com/jorman/archive/2010/01/24/hyper-v-manager.aspx .
