[RAFFLE] XIA Configuration Server 2010

XIA Configuration is designed to provide administrators with a single web interface for maintaining technical documentation for their networks. XIA attempts to engage a wider range of technologies and in greater detail than many traditional inventory products.

At the time of writing the system supports the following item types.

• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Windows Servers and Workstations
• SQL Server Instances
• DNS Services
• Microsoft Exchange
• Rooms, racks and locations
• Microsoft Clusters

Support for additional item types such as VMWare Virtual Infrastructure and Microsoft Hyper-V are currently in development.

This design concept allows you to determine changes to not only view the configuration and changes within your Active Directory but also to the server and DNS infrastructure on which it relies.

A primary focus of this product is to be able to output and access this information which includes Web Services interfaces, PDF and XML output and a suite of inbuilt reports with the ability to add or customize the reports as necessary.

XIA Configuration provides multitenant support so technical support providers can document and report against multiple customers or partner organizations from within a single interface.

Item comparison within XIA Configuration allows the user to compare how an item has changed over time between configuration versions and also to compare an item with another item of the same type to highlight differences.

XIA Configuration is a great product to complement any existing system management solution such as Microsoft SCCM; and with it’s future design goals is likely to become more prevalent in data centre and support environments.
