Redmond
Last week I had a chance to visit Microsoft headquarters in Redmond. A few months ago I worked on some project for Microsoft Croatia, and we had a review in Redmond. After a very long flight from Croatia (via Frankfurt and San Francisco) on Wednesday, we had a review meetings on Thursday and Friday, and a free day on Saturday. I was there with 6 other students, and some folks from Microsoft CEE headquarters. I must say that I am more than impressed by Redmond and it’s size. It is really huge! We’ve been shown a Microsoft Home (I really want some of those stuff!!!
), and of course, Microsoft Store, where I bought some gadgets that I really wanted for a long time. I’m not very impressed by Seattle. It is nice, but I didn’t see many interesting places there.
I also had a meeting with Ben Armstrong, virtualization program manager at Microsoft. We had a very inspiring discussion, talking mostly about virtualization stuff and new Hyper-V features that will be introduced in WS 2008 R2 SP1 (like Dynamic memory). I’ve had a great time, Ben really knows
what he’s talking about and he put a lot of effort to find some free time to meet with me. Thanks Ben!
As you can see, I don’t write much lately. It’s because I am very very busy. I work a lot, and I also work a lot during the weekends, so at this moment, blog is not one of the top priorities in my life. I hope that will change soon, because I have some great ideas for blog posts, I just have to find some time to write those posts
.
