    Second report from TechEd

This morning at 05:00 I came back from Barcelona to my apartment, so now it’s time for second (and final) report from TechEd. In my first report from Tech Ed, I was writing about first 2,5 days in Barcelona. I stopped at meeting for Microsoft Student Partners. So, after we have met, I asked Oliver, Academic program manager from Microsoft Slovenia: what are we going to do? He replied: We are going on go-karting! What?! I was so surprised, because I expected to have one of those boring meetings, but this was so cool.

We went with two buses outside of Barcelona to have dinner and go-karting competiton. I just have to say, I was not very good :-) . During whole Wednesday, I was thinking should I go to watch football match Barcelona vs. Benidorm, or to attend country drinks evening. When I realized that almost only substitutes will play for Barcelona, and when I saw it could rain, I decided to go to country drinks party where I had so much fun with other delegates from Croatia. On Thursday morning I went for sightseeing of Barcelona, I visited Camp Nou stadium, Montjuic park and Sagrada Familia cathedral. In the afternoon, student partners had another meeting. This time it was “official”, we had some presentations, and the best thing was session “How to give killing technical presentation” from David Chappell.

That’s it. On Friday we went to CCIB only to eat lunch, because we didn’t had much time till airplane flight, and we needed to buy some souvenirs. TechEd for developers 2008 was great experience for me, because I saw Barcelona, which is for me a fantastic city, I met lots of cool guys, I had fun… I have to say thanks to Darko Jovisic, developer evangelist from Microsoft Croatia, for giving me invitation to participate in this event, and Microsoft Croatia for paying for everything :-) .

I participated in Windays, which is Microsoft’s conference in Croatia, and I’m gonna have to compare this two events in my next post, so stay tuned.
