MSCommunity group in Split live again
Finally, after 11 months without meeting, we have managed to start MSCommunity group in Split. With support of Microsoft Croatia, Croatian association of programmers (HUPRO), SoftDevNet group, MS SQL & Developers group and Microsoft Student Partners, on Thursday we had meeting at my college. We had 73 attendees, which is great number, and two lectures. First lecture was held by Indira Sormaz from Siemens, and the title was: Methodology of software development. Second one was much more interesting, The (In)Security of Contactless (RFID) Cards, which was held by prof. Mario Cagalj, FESB.
Prof. Cagalj explained how RFID cards work, showed us his successful attack on simple Mifare cards, and then explained possible attack on smart cards. After lectures, we had “party” in bar with jumbo pizzas and drinks. Next meeting we have on December 11th, with two lectures:
“DNN + ASP.NET + LINQ” by Tonci Vatavuk from Netmedia sistemi, and “Windows Mobile vs. Blackberry” by Tonci Kaleb from Societe Generale Splitska banka. I have to say thanks to Tonci Kaleb, Ivan Saskor, Zeljka Knezovic, Tomislav Bronzin, Darko Jovisic for organization and support of this event, and I hope that we’ll have meetings every month.
