Few years ago, everybody talked about web 2.0 and it’s benefits. Today, the main buzzword is virtualization. Let’s see what Wikipedia has to say about virtualization:
In computing, virtualization is a broad term that refers to the abstraction of computer resources. Virtualization hides the physical characteristics of computing resources from their users, be they applications, or end users.
Let’s see what can we virtualize:
- desktop of the computer
- applications
- operating system
I am going to write a lot about virtualization of operating system, because that’s the thing that Windows Server 2008 improved very much. Also, I am going to write about types of virtualization, hyper-v, benefits…
